I feel frustrated because there are so many things I want to do.

Those who know me personally might wonder, "Doesn't look like she has that much to do..." but In fact, there are many, and that's how my senses feel.

When I get stuck not knowing where to start, I think it would be nice to have something like that thing attached next to a racehorse’s eyes.
Since I didn’t know what it was called, I hurried to look it up (I'm actually quite quick at taking action on things like this).
It turned out to be called "blinkers." Interesting—horses have a field of vision of 350 degrees (humans have about 200 degrees), and there are various types of horse gear to block their view. They are used “to avoid distractions.”

Even though I gained some wisdom, since I'm not a horse, I started filling my calendar with notes like, "Do this on this day." By doing this, my mind feels a bit clearer.
This is also a kind of blinker. By assigning specific tasks to each day, it helps make other tasks that don’t need to be done on that day psychologically less visible.

By the way, when creating a collage, having more materials is not necessarily better.
One cardboard box full (with the size of about 100 small oranges can fit in it) should be enough - not in the form of a book, but with individual pages with potentially usable materials and motifs.
It’s not particularly few, but it’s not overwhelmingly many either.
When actually creating, you can just stick your hand into the box, grab a handful of papers about 7 to 8 centimeters thick, and you’ll probably be able to create something from that.

When choosing or executing something, it’s often more effective not to have too many options but rather to reduce the existing options.

This might be true in business as well.
A brilliant and very successful business leader I used to know once said, “I never create more than three options.”
That was quite cool...

I'm teaching collage and mixed media technique in Tokyo at Meguro Gakuen Culture School "Collage for Beginners".
The class is held once a month. Feel free to join us anytime for a trial.
